The Art of Hospitality

Cape Town, Western Cape
Life is far too short for quiet nights; I’d much rather have a house full of friends and a table full of good food.
Theme of the night: The role space plays in hospitality
Have you ever walked into a room and immediately felt at ease? Or found that some places invite conversation, while others seem to hold everyone at a distance?
This gathering explores the role our surroundings play in hospitality, and how the spaces we choose can shape the way people experience being together.
We’ll begin with drinks in a home before making our way to a secret garden, where lunch awaits. Along the way, we’ll explore the atmosphere we create, the details we notice, and how we can use our spaces more intentionally to make people feel welcome.
Because hospitality isn’t just about who we invite or what we serve. It’s also about the spaces we create for people to connect.
🌿 A little something to bring
For our gathering, please bring a single flower or stem of greenery — something simple from your garden or a little something you've picked up along the way.
A fresh, zesty sun-dried tomato and chicken pasta, served alongside a rocket, Parmesan and pine nut salad.
To drink: Sparkling water and white wine will be provided. You're welcome to bring something else if you prefer.
