About the Experience
Welcome to the first meal of our official OpenSeat community, the Art of Gathering, where we dive into various topics in and around hosting people in your home!
The first topic we're going to start with, is the power of the invite!
Did you know that invitation is one of the key factors in your sense of belonging to a community? It's what makes people feel welcome - but there's a lot more research behind it.
This evening format will be based on the following:
- Welcome drinks and snacks
- A surprise activity
- A delicious home cooked meal
- Unpacking the table topic of what it means to be invited into a home
- Desert and tea
We ask that everyone bring a story with them to contribute to the table, of a community they felt like they belonged to the most.
